Before you start
- Connecting your neon.page with Google Analytics is a neontoolsPro feature
- neon.page tracking works best with Google Analytics 4
- Already have a Google Analytics Property set up? Skip this first part
Create a Google Analytics Property
- Open Google Analytics and log in with your Google Account
- Open the Admin page in the bottom left
- In the Property column, click Create Property and follow the steps
Add a Data stream
- After creating a property, click on Data Streams and then Add stream
- Select Web
- Enter the URL of the neon.page you want to track (e.g. neon.page/juliewieland) and a Stream name (e.g. my neon.page)
- Enable enhanced measurement (Enhanced measurement automatically collects page views and other events)
- Click Create stream
Find your Google Analytics Measurement ID
- In the Admin menu, under Property, click on Data Streams
- Open the data stream you want to use for your neon.page
- The Measurement ID is located in the top right
Add your Measurement ID in neontools
- Open the neon.page you want to connect with Google Analytics
- Open the Data Tab
- Open the Google Analytics Dropdown and copy-paste your Measurement ID
- Click Save!
Note: Now that your neon.page is connected with Google Analytics, your page visitors will need to accept a Cookie Banner because your neon.page will set a Google Analytics Cookie.
